Ingredients

2 4oz Balls of ground Beef
 1 Onion (sliced SUPER thin)
 Postal Barbecue Mad Cow Rub
 2 Brioche Hamburger Buns
 Sliced Pickles
 Mustard
 2 Slices American Cheese

Directions

Step #1
1

To prepare your Oklahoma Onion Burgers, begin by slicing your onions as thin as you can – this will help during the fast cooking process. Next slice your pickles if needed and form your ground beef into 4oz balls. Once everything has been prepared and you are ready to cook, turn on your griddle and let it preheat for a few minutes. We are looking for a griddle temperature around 400F-450F to help get a nice crust on the burgers.

Step #2
2

With your Griddle heated, place your balls of beef on the griddle and press them down just slightly so that you can place your onions on top easily. Next place about half of an onion worth of your thinly sliced onions onto the ground beef before smashing them down on the griddle until they are as thin you prefer. Next, add the burger seasoning of your choice and let them cook for a few minutes until the bottom has formed a nice brown crust.

Step #3
3

After a couple of minutes your burgers should have a nice crust formed. At this point, flip the burgers and apply your American style cheese so that the cheese begins to melt. Also, place the bottom of your bun on to the cheese so that it steams the bun as it cooks the onions. Also toast the top bun if you prefer. After another few minutes, your onions will be cooked and even caramelized a bit. At this point, remove the burgers from the griddle and add on your top bun. Serve to your guests with a side of pickles and mustard as well as any sauce you might like.
