Easy BBQ Baked Beans on the Grill

In this Easy BBQ Baked Beans Recipe, we will teach you how to make Baked beans on the grill. This Easy Pork and Beans Recipe is one that is simple to do and tastes great! We made these on the Napoleon Kettle grill, but you can also do this on any other type of grill using the indirect cooking method. Everything you need to know is below.

Ingredients

 48 oz Canned Beans
 4 tbsp Baked Bean Mix (or substitute with BBQ Rub to taste)
 ¾ cup BBQ Sauce
 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
 2 Strips chopped bacon
 3 Strips chopped bacon to top (cooked)
 ½ tbsp Cayenne pepper (optional)

First you are going to prepare your Baked Beans by combining your two cans of beans, sauce, mix/rub, brown sugar and chopped up bacon together in a large cast iron or oven safe bowl. Once mixed together fully go ahead and place 3 strips of bacon on top and sprinkle 1/2 tbs of brown sugar on top.

Once the beans are mixed together you are going to go ahead and place them over direct heat for about 5 minutes until the beans begin to simmer lightly. Once simmering, place the beans in the middle of the grill (indirect) and continue cooking for 40 minutes at 350 degrees. During this time add a bit of wood chips to the coals to add a light layer of wood smoke flavour to your beans.

After 40 minutes of cooking go in and spin the beans to get even cooking. After you have rotated your beans close the lid and continue cooking for another 35 minutes.

After 1 hour 20 minutes your beans will be done. Go ahead and remove them from the grill and let them cool for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, serve and enjoy.
